January – Fast Metabolism – Phase 2 Day 2

Day 4 of the Fast Metabolism Diet. How are you feeling? I woke up this morning with more energy than usual and I don’t miss that morning dose of caffeine…progress. I am experimenting with herbal teas. Do you have a favorite for the morning? The Numi teas with turmeric have been my “go to’s” so far but I am looking forward to branching out.

Egg yolks? For us??? We are digesting breakfast and keeping you company while you write.

Don’t forget your water and phase 2 exercise includes some form of weight work. Take heart, phase 3 and avocado is on the horizon.

  1. Breakfast for me both mornings of phase two was an omelet made with about 3X as many vegetables as I have typically done. 1/4 onion, 1/2 large orange pepper, large (2 cup) handful of spinach, 4-5 cherry tomatoes, All vegetables chopped and sauteed at medium heat before adding 2 beaten eggs. I am making a few modifications to the diet, even though she sternly warns against this. Used about 2 tsp olive oil and whole eggs. It was very tasty and filling. May add this recipe to my regular routine.

    • Hi Dan, i think you are doing well. More veggies, no sugar or alcohol…those are major changes. Thank you for joining us and let us know how you feel.

  2. Hmmmmm, this is a very interesting diet. Fast Metabolism, It sounds pretty good. How are you doing so far? I’m afraid I’m not one to stick to diets perse, but I have made some changes for the New Year and hope to abide by the rules I made for myself 🙂 Good luck in yours!

    • Hi Loretta, changes for better health are always good. So far a group of us have been sticking to the diet but it is only day 4. The purpose is not just to loose those holiday pounds to but make a shift in our habits. For some of us it is sugar, others caffeine or alcohol. During the holidays it is all too easy to get into a rut…glass of wine every night or cookies with afternoon tea or slices of rich cheese for a snack (one of my own). By getting out of the rut we can still have those things, but the habit is broken and it is a conscious choice.
